The Music is MagiC

Every client gets a soundtrack built for them. I shape it as an arc: arriving and letting go, moving through the peak, coming home. Clients consistently tell me the music was one of the most important parts of their journey.

I can do this because I hear music as a musician. I’ve spent decades writing, playing and producing it, including years in a blues band six nights a week. I know where tension builds, where it releases, what settles the body and what gently opens it. I have studied the science that connects music to states of consciousness.  That lifetime of craft is built into the Breakthrough to Coherence Method.

Why music matters? It bypasses the thinking mind and goes straight to feeling and memory. A few notes can take you back thirty years in a second. In a journey, when your defences soften, that power deepens. It can open a door you’ve kept shut for years, then help you walk through it.

The science agrees. Researchers at Imperial College London found that how people experienced the music during guided sessions for depression was linked to deeper insight. It also predicted how much their depression eased a week later. The strength of the experience did not. The wrong music, they found, gets in the way. So I leave nothing to chance.

The music keeps working after the journey. It becomes part of the coherence architecture. Hearing a piece weeks later returns you to what you saw and felt, so you can keep building on your insights until who you are and how you lead line up.
